Welcome to the web site of the Texas Gulf Coast (TXGC) Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA). The ISSA is a not-for-profit international organization of information security professionals and practitioners. It provides education forums, publications, and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skill, and professional growth of its members.
The Texas Gulf Coast Chapter is located in the Houston Clear Lake area. Its membership primarily represents the Bay Area petrochemical and energy industries, the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC), and JSC's contractors.
Information on the Gulf Coast Chapter is available, including current and upcoming events. Please also reference the site index for a comprehensive listing of the information at this web site. Check them out!
The next meeting for the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of ISSA will be held on August 16, 2010 at 5:30 p.m.
The topic for this meeting is "Digital Forensics 101!"
You do not have to be an information systems security professional to join the ISSA! If you deal with the administration or operation of computers and/or networks, or the definition or enforcement of policy in their use, you are dealing with information systems security issues and technologies. As a member of the ISSA you will have the opportunity to learn more of these issues and technologies, and perhaps even present to the chapter on expertise you have! Join now!
